Barry Munsey of Stanton, Va.  I called his Merriams in at high noon on an Osage Orange slate  in Nebraska.  It weighed 20 lbs, had a 8 in. beard and 1 in. spurs.
Jim Freeman of Sand Springs, OK.  This is one of 6 Rios that I called in on Apr. 6 2001, opening day, with an Osage Orange Slate.  It weighed 16 lbs. had a 4 in. beard and 1/2 in spurs.
John Baker of Lee's Summit, MO.  This  Nebraska Merriams was taken under a Pecan slate.  It weighed 18 lbs.  Had an 8 in. beard and 1 in. spurs.
My son Tanner with his monster  Merriam's. I called him in on a Bocote. Everything in the woods that morning split as soon as they saw this beast strutting through the undergrowth.  He was big! 30lbs! They do grow them big in Nebraska.
Mike Hill of Sand Springs, OK.  I called his bird in on Apr. 7 with my Osage Orange slate.  Mikes was the biggest of 3 Rio's that came in running to the call.  It weighed 20 lbs. with a 5 in. beard and 1/2 in. spurs.
There I am all ghilli'd out with 2 Merriams.
